1994 ASTRA/MERCK NATIONAL MANAGED HEALTH CARE
CONGRESS' HONORABLE MENTION AWARD
The Tri-County Health Care Alliance (TCHCA) and its health insurance
partner, HealthAmerica, were joint recipients of an honorable mention
Astra/Merck - National Managed Health Care Congress (NMHCC) Partnership
Award. Representatives from TCHCA and HealthAssurance accepted the
award at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., in May 1994.
The Partnership Award recognizes excellence and innovation among employers,
providers, and payers in delivering quality, cost-effective health
care. TCHCA and HealthAmerica were honored because their collaboration
met a number of key criteria required in the competition: it provided
affordable, quality health care to employees; minimized health costs
increases; capped future premium increases; and created competition
among health insurers.
